Extension, Brighton
Project Value: £110, 000
Architect: Pete Sonntag
Appointed as: Main Contractor
Single storey rear extension and refurbishment of a large 2-bedroom flat in a conservation area. This project includes the demolition of an existing extension, structural alterations, underpinning existing walls, new kitchen, bathroom, underfloor heating, full re-wire, aluminium glazing and a black glazed tile exterior.
The bathroom in particular mixes Spanish cement tiles with Italian marble and bathroom suite. We bespoke made the doors in this refurb due to the need for a proper Victorian 4-panel to suit each opening. The kitchen will be a bespoke made timber kitchen made form maple and tulipwood, with a marble top and kitchen island. Banquette seating bespoke made and fitted against fully bead and but panelled walls. The floor is black and white corner tiles leading out onto limestone cobbles.
This has been an exciting job so far with interesting product/material choices from the client and a great example of traditional meets modern with a high spec finish. As this project is very close to completion we are really happy with the result, as is the client.
